Assistance With Travel & Transport

travel

The NDIS recognises that access to transport is essential for individuals with disabilities to be able to participate in their communities and achieve their goals.

There are a variety of transport supports available under the NDIS, including:

1. Capacity building supports: These supports aim to improve an individual’s ability to use public transport, such as buses, trains, and taxis.

This may include training on how to use public transport, travel planning, or developing skills for independent travel.

2. Assistance with transport and travel: This support provides funding for transport to and from community activities, appointments, and employment. This may include funding for taxi or Uber rides, public transport tickets, or the cost of fuel for a personal vehicle.

It also includes assistance from a Support Worker to accompany you to and from a destination.

Whether it’s a social engagement, running errands, getting to your medical appointments, or building capacity, Alleviate Care will help you get where you need to go.
